Finding the Best Equipment for Camping

Even in the middle of winter, there are some of us who love camping and will look for cheap camping equipment for camping even if we aren’t heading out any time soon. If you are like me, you are always looking for some ways to find bargains.
One place I have recently discovered is any kind of store that sells equipment for people that work out of doors. We have one here in New Westminster that sells rubber boots for fishermen (they are amazingly good!) as well as all kinds of rugged boots for construction workers and inexpensive tarps and rain gear that will help keep you dry. I find that it doesn’t matter where you plan to go camping, in the mountains, by a lake or on the beach; everyone has a place that is magical for them. One of the joys of camping is that it can be so many things to so many people. Camping Cooking Supplies

Boy- nothing tastes better than when you cook it over a fire or camp stove! Is it because you are outdoors all day and just hungrier or is there something almost magical about eating outdoors? I don’t know the answer, but I do know that have the right equipment makes a big difference in how much work it is to cook while camping. My Dad might have been perfectly happy making coffee in an old coffee tin on the fire, but I like my coffee with no ash for extra flavour – thank you! Read the rest of this entry »
